• rava /suji – 2 cup
  • curd/yogurt – 1.5 cup
  • salt to taste
  • pinch of baking soda
  • oil for greasing


  • Add suji in a mixing bowl add curd,salt ,baking soda and mix it well without forming any lumps .
  • keep it aside for 20 minutes or till absorb water.
  • pour the idli batter into greased idli plate.
  • steam them on medium flame for 15 minutes/till idlis are cooked completely.
  • Ready to serve rava idli with cocunut chutney.
